About the Role
You will be embedded in technically ambitious Web3 conversations, working directly with founders, CTOs, researchers, and institutional players. You will identify opportunities, build trusted long-term partnerships, and drive strategic engagements from first conversation to execution. You will bridge technical and commercial worlds by collaborating with engineers to design tailored security solutions, translating complex technical challenges into clear strategic recommendations, representing the organization at conferences and events, and maintaining market intelligence to inform commercial strategy.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of DeFi and Web3 technical and financial mechanisms
- Wide knowledge of the DeFi market and market forces
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong commercial instincts and technical credibility
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to engineers and executives
- Entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership, organization, and proactivity
- Comfortable with public-facing work and presentations
- Fluent English
- Strong preference for candidates based in Zurich or willing to relocate
- Ability to manage an international travel schedule
- Relevant backgrounds include: Technical founder; or 2+ years in Web3/DeFi in a technical, research, product, protocol, or risk role; or 2+ years in cybersecurity with involvement or interest in Web3/DeFi; or 2+ years in finance or institutional markets with involvement or interest in Web3/DeFi
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with top technical founders and engineers across Web3
- Lead technical-commercial sales processes from first conversation to signed engagement in collaboration with security engineers
- Develop long-term trusted relationships with clients
- Collaborate with engineers and leadership to understand client needs and design tailored security solutions
- Translate complex technical challenges into clear strategic recommendations for clients
- Act as trusted security advisor to leading Web3 teams
- Improve internal processes and tooling using AI and automation
- Represent the organization at conferences and private events worldwide
- Translate engineering research and expertise into market-facing narratives and content
- Monitor market trends and identify promising opportunities across Web3
- Maintain deep ecosystem knowledge and inform long-term commercial strategy
