Veda provides vault infrastructure built on the BoringVault smart contract standard for fintechs, exchanges, and asset managers that want to offer onchain yield. Partners can deploy yield vaults across multiple blockchains and protocols, configure compliance and whitelisting controls, and use Veda Curation Services to have strategies actively managed. All vault assets are held in non-custodial smart contracts with operations constrained to a Merkle-verified set of pre-approved actions.

About the Role
You will design, build, and scale the core services that power the platform. You will own projects from scoping and design through implementation, testing, and production delivery. You will write clean, well-tested code, modernize technical debt, and contribute to system design focused on performance, reliability, and data architecture. You will deploy, monitor, and scale production services using cloud tooling, participate in on-call rotations and incident response, and improve reliability, observability, and performance.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional backend engineering experience
- Experience delivering production systems end-to-end
- Strong programming skills in Python or another modern backend language such as Go, Rust, Java, or C++
- Understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, and service-based architectures
- Experience with Git, unit and integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization
- Experience participating in an on-call rotation or owning production systems
- Ability to design scalable systems and refactor legacy components
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend systems powering the API and internal services
- Own projects end-to-end from scoping and design through implementation, testing, and production delivery
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to modernize technical debt into maintainable, highly available systems
- Write clean, well-tested code and maintain CI/CD hygiene
- Deploy, monitor, and scale production services using modern cloud tooling
- Contribute to system design discussions on performance, reliability, and data architecture
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for production systems
- Drive improvements in system reliability, observability, and performance
