Design, build, and scale core services powering Veda’s platform. Own projects from scoping and design through implementation, testing, and production delivery. Write clean, well-tested code, modernize technical debt, and contribute to system design focused on performance, reliability, and data architecture. Deploy, monitor, and scale production services using cloud tooling, participate in on-call rotations and incident response, and improve reliability, observability, and performance.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional backend engineering experience
- Experience delivering production systems end-to-end
- Strong programming skills in Python or another modern backend language such as Go, Rust, Java, or C++
- Understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, and service-based architectures
- Experience with Git, unit and integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization
- Experience participating in an on-call rotation or owning production systems
- Ability to design scalable systems and refactor legacy components
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend systems powering the API and internal services
- Own projects end-to-end from scoping and design through implementation, testing, and production delivery
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to modernize technical debt into maintainable, highly available systems
- Write clean, well-tested code and maintain CI/CD hygiene
- Deploy, monitor, and scale production services using modern cloud tooling
- Contribute to system design discussions on performance, reliability, and data architecture
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for production systems
- Drive improvements in system reliability, observability, and performance
