About the Role

Own the developer experience around Drift’s Rust and Python SDKs, integrations, and backend tooling. Build reliable, well-documented, production-ready SDKs and tools that support developers, market makers, integrators, and ecosystem growth.

Requirements

  • Strong Rust and/or Python coding experience focused on SDK or API development and design.
  • Experience building developer-facing tools, SDKs, or backend libraries.
  • Familiarity with blockchain or fintech systems.
  • Experience with Solana or DeFi protocols is a bonus.
  • Ability to communicate with and support engineers and external developers on SDK usage, debugging, and integrations.
  • Understanding of integrations, CI/CD workflows, and reliability at scale.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and excited about developer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development, maintenance, and support of Drift’s Rust and Python SDKs.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to prioritize backend, developer experience, and integration projects.
  • Build developer tooling, examples, and documentation.
  • Keep SDKs synchronized with on-chain program changes and protocol upgrades.
  • Debug and resolve issues from external users and internal developers.
  • Contribute to CI/CD, testing, and SDK release workflows.
