About the Role

You design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs for a card issuing platform. You build scalable systems, integrate payment providers and third-party services, troubleshoot performance and reliability issues, support testing and incident response, create internal tools, and collaborate with product, design, QA, and operations teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of backend engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in Golang
  • Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture
  • Experience with SQL databases, preferably MariaDB or MySQL
  • Familiarity with Git and GitHub workflows
  • Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, or similar
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and observability tools

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs
  • Build and maintain high-availability scalable systems for card issuance and payment processing
  • Integrate third-party APIs and payment providers
  • Troubleshoot system issues, performance bottlenecks, and scalability challenges
  • Support regression testing, integration testing, and reliability improvements
  • Address bugs, technical debt, and operational support requests
  • Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical discussions
  • Implement security and engineering best practices
  • Build internal operational tools and reporting systems
  • Support incident response and on-call duties
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Operations teams
