About the Role
You will design, implement, and ship backend services and integrations that support sequencers and chain interactions. You will own projects from design doc to rollout, profile and optimize performance, improve reliability through operational practices, participate on-call and incident response, and apply strong security practices in key and IAM management. You will mentor peers and contribute to standards for reviews and testing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Knowledge of Ethereum and the EVM
- Experience with Go
- Experience with Solidity
- Experience with AWS services such as CloudWatch, DynamoDB, and ECS
- Experience with Docker and Terraform
- Familiarity with OP Stack and Arbitrum preferred
- Desire to work with Rust
- Remote work experience with strong personal organizational and time management skills
- Advanced English communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead critical projects end-to-end including design docs, implementation, reviews, rollouts, and post-mortems
- Build sequencer-adjacent services such as screening APIs, proxies, attestations, and chain integrations
- Profile systems and optimize performance with load testing, flamegraphs, and data-path optimizations
- Tune caches and queues to improve throughput and latency
- Apply security first practices including threat modeling, key and secret management, and least-privilege IAM
- Ensure operational excellence through on-call participation, incident response, blameless retros, and runbooks
- Mentor teammates on design, code reviews, testing standards, and engineering best practices
- Track EVM and OP/Arbitrum changes and surface actionable ecosystem insights
