About the Role
You will provide sanctions advisory to business stakeholders, manage sanctions-related requests and escalations, conduct complex payment reviews, and assess sanctions risks. You will interpret sanctions regulations, support updates to compliance policies and screening systems, and prepare management reports, risk metrics, and regulatory submissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
- Experience in financial crime compliance with a focus on sanctions advisory and transaction screening within a financial institution.
- Understanding of global sanctions regimes, including OFAC, UN, EU, and local regulatory frameworks.
- Experience handling complex payment reviews and ad hoc compliance queries.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Compliance certification such as ACAMS or ICA is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Provide sanctions advisory to business units and stakeholders.
- Manage sanctions-screening requests, escalations, and risk assessments.
- Conduct complex payment reviews and transaction-monitoring escalations.
- Analyse global sanctions regulations and assess their operational impact.
- Collaborate on updates to sanctions compliance policies, procedures, and screening systems.
- Prepare management reports, risk metrics, and regulatory submissions on sanctions compliance.
