About the Role
You will design, develop, operate, and maintain automated protocols and systems for scaling complex cell culture and assay processes. You will translate manual laboratory experiments into automated workflows, program and qualify integrated liquid-handling systems, maintain automation platforms, integrate data pipelines and LIMS, and document processes using SOPs.
Requirements
- PhD with 0–3 years of experience or a Master's degree with 4–6 years of experience in a related scientific or engineering field
- Experience automating cell culture in academia, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, or contract research organizations
- Experience operating, programming, and integrating laboratory automation instrumentation and peripherals
- Experience with liquid handling platforms, automated incubators, centrifuges, analyzers, or imagers
- Experience with Python or C#
- Experience integrating instruments and quality-control data with LIMS tools
- Experience translating hands-on cell culture work into scalable automated protocols
- Experience troubleshooting automation systems and workflows
- Strong communication, organizational, and data-presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Automate complex in vitro model culture and assays
- Translate manual cell culture and assay processes into automated workflows
- Program, test, qualify, and execute automated workflows
- Operate integrated liquid handling systems
- Perform maintenance and dry tests on automation platforms
- Integrate data management, analysis pipelines, and data automation
- Train team members on Python development practices, version control, collaborative workflows, and AI tool integration
- Document and report processes using SOPs
- Maintain technical documentation and troubleshooting guides
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers on system modifications and maintenance
