About the Role
You will lead external communications initiatives, develop integrated communication strategies, and build relationships with journalists and stakeholders. You will manage media outreach, interviews, leadership communications, reputation monitoring, crisis-response support, and reporting on media performance and sentiment.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or strategic communications
- Experience in fintech, financial services, technology, or high-growth startup ecosystems preferred
- Ability to manage high-impact communication campaigns and multiple stakeholders
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Storytelling and content development capabilities
- Experience with sensitive issues, crisis communications, and reputation management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and media monitoring and reporting tools
Responsibilities
- Support and strengthen the brand narrative across media, industry forums, and stakeholder communications
- Develop and execute integrated communications strategies aligned with business priorities
- Identify industry trends, market developments, and news opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with business, financial, startup, and technology journalists
- Drive proactive media outreach and secure high-quality coverage
- Manage media queries, interview opportunities, briefing materials, and spokesperson engagements
- Support profiling initiatives for founders and senior leadership
- Draft opinion pieces, bylines, keynote messaging, interview briefs, LinkedIn content, and communication assets
- Ensure consistent leadership messaging across internal and external channels
- Monitor media coverage, industry developments, and stakeholder sentiment for reputation risks
- Support crisis communication planning and response efforts
- Analyze media performance, share of voice, sentiment, and competitive positioning
- Deliver communication impact reports with actionable recommendations
- Build relationships with leadership, business teams, agency partners, media, industry bodies, and ecosystem partners
