About the Role

You'll join a rapidly-expanding team in a fast-paced environment at the forefront of the live comedy industry, working on global touring and servicing comedy and live events clients and shows playing all over the world. You'll keep the booking system updated, schedule meetings and manage diaries for your agent, and proactively resolve or escalate enquiries as needed. You'll run ticket counts for tours, contract shows accurately and efficiently, and keep track of all incoming money for shows while chasing deposits and payments. You'll procure avails from venues, assist with tour routing, and check and compare show offers for management review. You'll help client management understand tour settlements, including financials, taxes, and deductions, and help coordinate Edinburgh booking needs and opportunities. You'll coordinate tour on-sales, manage on-sale timelines, and ensure artists have working ticket links while promoters have up-to-date tour assets and riders. You'll keep client information current, handle guest lists for festivals and headline shows, and collect tour and show support suggestions to present to management. You'll request and manage invoices, chase and check settlements and payments, and assist with immigration needs such as filing forms and maintaining passport copies for touring parties. You'll also attend shows and meetings as required, developing business relationships along the way.

Requirements

  • General understanding of current comedy industry and the nature of a talent agency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Discretion at all times particularly when dealing with sensitive client matters
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload
  • Ability to develop business relationships
  • Previous experience in a related field is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Keep booking system updated at all times
  • Schedule meetings for agent and manage booking schedules and diaries
  • Proactively resolve enquiries or escalate as appropriate
  • Run ticket counts for all tours
  • Contract shows accurately quickly and efficiently
  • Keep account of all money in for shows and chase deposits and payments proactively
  • Procure avails from venues and assist with tour routing
  • Check and compare show offers and collate for management
  • Help client management understand tour settlements including financials taxes and other costs and deductions
  • Help coordinate Edinburgh booking needs and opportunities
  • Coordinate tour on-sales including managing on-sale timeline and ensuring correct ticket links and up-to-date tour assets and rider
  • Keep client info up to date including images bio release dates pitch decks management and account info
  • Manage festival and headline show guest lists and help management with requests
  • Collect tour and show support suggestions from agents and present to management
  • Request and manage invoices from management and accounts team
  • Chase and check settlements and payments and approve statements for final settlement with client
  • Assist management with immigration needs including filing immigration forms assigning sponsorship certificates and maintaining passport copies and touring parties
  • Attend shows and meetings as required and develop business relationships
