About the Role
You will lead sourcing and purchasing for data-center and laboratory equipment, services, and facilities. You will coordinate suppliers, contracts, freight, receiving, asset records, equipment installation, and financial reconciliations. You will resolve delivery and supplier issues, manage priorities for the Asset and Logistics team, produce operational reporting, and improve procurement and logistics processes.
Requirements
- Significant experience in technical procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, asset operations, logistics, or critical infrastructure
- Data-center experience
- Experience leading a team or coordinating others in procurement, asset management, or logistics
- Commercial and supplier-negotiation experience
- Ability to interpret technical requirements, specifications, bills of materials, construction schedules, and commissioning requirements
- Experience managing supplier performance and resolving commercial, delivery, and operational issues
- Financial and analytical capability for reconciling purchase orders, invoices, budgets, payment records, and capital commitments
- Experience developing procurement, financial, asset, supplier-performance, and delivery-risk reporting
- Proficiency with purchasing systems, financial platforms, asset databases, spreadsheets, workflow tools, and reporting applications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Project Management Professional certification
Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and purchasing for data-center and laboratory equipment, infrastructure, technical services, and facility requirements
- Translate technical requirements and schedules into purchasing and supplier activities
- Review supplier quotations, scopes, pricing, lead times, warranties, delivery requirements, and commercial risks
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery conditions, warranties, and service commitments
- Coordinate supplier onboarding, compliance reviews, agreements, approvals, purchase orders, and contract documentation
- Implement sourcing and purchasing plans that support project schedules and site requirements
- Resolve supplier issues affecting cost, availability, construction, commissioning, or site readiness
- Lead and support the Asset and Logistics team
- Oversee equipment receipt, identification, storage, installation, commissioning, transfer, maintenance, and retirement
- Coordinate freight, receiving, rigging, storage, delivery scheduling, and equipment movement
- Maintain asset records
- Coordinate equipment delivery and installation with suppliers and site stakeholders
- Resolve equipment delivery discrepancies
- Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, change orders, payments, budgets, and balances
- Produce purchasing, asset, delivery, supplier-risk, financial, and infrastructure-readiness reporting
- Improve procurement, asset management, logistics, and reporting processes
