About the Role

You will lead, train, and coach an assembly crew while managing staffing, materials, and production schedules. You will oversee structural and mechanical equipment installation, work order verification, product labeling, inventory management, and process improvement. You will coordinate with department leads and backfill production roles to maintain safe, high-quality output.

Requirements

  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing a manufacturing team
  • Experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and Bills of Materials
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily
  • Experience with ERP software is a bonus
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Participation in a drug and alcohol program is required

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and coach the assembly crew
  • Manage crew PTO and sick time
  • Oversee material handling and installation of structural and mechanical equipment
  • Perform seam caulking and prepare units for shipment
  • Review work orders and verify required materials
  • Oversee product logos, labeling, NEMA Ratings, and UL information
  • Coordinate production schedules with managers and department leads
  • Communicate production changes to Project Management and Sales
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain organized work areas and accurate parts inventory
  • Backfill production team members when required
