About the Role
You will lead the technical journey for strategic plugin partners, from use-case selection through launch and maintenance. You will build prototypes and reference implementations, review architectures, debug integrations, run evaluations, improve platform tooling, and turn partner feedback into reusable guidance and product improvements.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building and operating production APIs, backend services, developer platforms, applications, plugins, connectors, or integrations
- Ability to reason across frontend, backend, authentication, reliability, privacy, evaluations, and user experience
- Ability to create prototypes, API contracts, technical specifications, and implementation guidance
- Experience debugging distributed systems with logs, traces, metrics, and experiments
- Knowledge of user trust, privacy, data handling, and product quality in AI-powered experiences
Responsibilities
- Own the technical partner journey from readiness assessment through launch and maintenance
- Identify plugin use cases and define user journeys and expected behaviors
- Write production and sample code, prototypes, reference implementations, evaluations, and launch guidance
- Debug API contracts, OAuth, tool invocation, latency, retries, rate limits, observability, data-model, and user-experience issues
- Review partner architectures for API design, permissions, data handling, safety, privacy, reliability, and maintainability
- Contribute fixes and improvements to ChatGPT, Codex, and the plugins platform
- Turn partner feedback into reusable playbooks, examples, platform requirements, and implementation guidance
