About the Role
You will develop high-speed analog and mixed-signal transceiver and broadband circuits for optical and wireline communication systems. You will conduct feasibility studies, define electrical requirements, document simulations and verification results, drive layout reviews, validate integration through simulations, define test plans, and validate circuit performance in the lab.
Requirements
- MS with 6+ years of industry experience or Ph.D. with 3+ years of industry experience focused on optical or wireline transceiver design
- Experience in GHz-speed RF or broadband analog design
- Experience with Tx/Rx equalization techniques and circuits
- Familiarity with SERDES architectures and implementations
- Understanding of CMOS device characteristics, noise, mismatch, linearity, and design trade-offs
- Experience with Cadence Design Environment
- Ability to collaborate across functional areas
Responsibilities
- Support micro-architecture development by conducting feasibility studies
- Collaborate to define electrical requirements
- Design analog and mixed-signal transceiver and broadband circuit blocks
- Document design simulations and verifications for design reviews
- Drive block-level floorplans, mask design views, and reviews
- Run post-layout and mixed-signal top-level simulations
- Define production and bench-level test plans
- Validate circuit performance in the lab
