About the Role
You will architect and build AI-powered compliance solutions from opportunity identification through deployment, governance, and capability transfer. You will automate compliance workflows, create scalable analytics, protect regulated data, and embed audit trails and human approval checkpoints. You will assess automation risk, maintain system documentation, and halt or redesign work that creates unacceptable regulatory, legal, or privacy risk. You will also create templates and runbooks, train compliance professionals, drive adoption, and measure automation impact.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Compliance operations, financial crime, regulatory technology, or a combined compliance and technical role.
- Fluency with AI and workflow automation tools and experience designing, deploying, and driving adoption of AI solutions in Compliance or RegTech workflows.
- Hands-on experience deploying AI-powered or automated production workflows used by others.
- Working knowledge of AML/CFT, sanctions, transaction monitoring, capital markets compliance, and data privacy frameworks.
- Proficiency with n8n, Python, Claude API, Anthropic SDK, or equivalent AI tooling.
- Experience connecting Compliance systems via API.
- Understanding of data classification, customer PII handling, GDPR, BSA, FATF standards, and AML data-retention requirements.
- Strong analytical problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build agentic compliance workflows using n8n, Claude API, Python, and MCP.
- Design and deliver solutions for alert pre-screening, case narrative generation, regulatory change summarization, EDD report drafting, and audit-ready documentation.
- Build scalable automated analytics that deliver repeatable risk insights.
- Apply AI techniques for text analysis, transaction pattern recognition, and workflow automation.
- Build error handling, audit trails, regulatory-calendar awareness, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints into production systems.
- Ensure automations comply with data classification, PII, regulated financial data, privacy, GDPR, and AML data-retention requirements.
- Classify automation builds by risk tier and confirm ownership, data flows, access controls, and regulatory impact before production.
- Maintain audit logging and documentation for systems handling regulated data, SAR workflows, or sanctions-adjacent processes.
- Halt or redesign builds that create unacceptable regulatory, legal, or data privacy risk.
- Contribute to governance standards, model risk management, and cross-functional build alignment.
- Produce workflow documentation, templates, and runbooks.
- Train Compliance team members on production AI-assisted tools and workflows.
- Track and report automation impact.
- Enable investigators and analysts to focus on high-judgment, high-risk decisions.
