About the Role
You will lead technical standards work for AI agent identity, discovery, delegated authorization, commerce, web access, provenance, and auditability. You will translate technical controls into specifications, negotiate standards contributions, coordinate approvals, represent approved positions externally, and bring standards intelligence into product and security roadmaps.
Requirements
- Technical standards, internet protocols, identity and access, security architecture, applied cryptography, product, or infrastructure experience
- Experience authoring, editing, or shaping normative specifications, profiles, drafts, or conformance requirements
- Knowledge of OAuth, OIDC, FIDO, WebAuth, workload identity, HTTP signatures, delegated authority, credential lifecycle, revocation, provenance, and auditability
- Technical writing and negotiation skills
- Experience representing organizations externally in technical standards settings
Responsibilities
- Own standards workstream plans for agent identity, discovery, and delegated authorization
- Recommend standards participation and positioning based on technical and strategic considerations
- Develop technical standards positions and normative contributions
- Shape requirements for delegation, approvals, revocation, credential custody, interoperability, provenance, and auditability
- Translate internal architecture and controls into specifications, profiles, and assurance evidence
- Lead cross-functional review and approval paths
- Represent OpenAI in technical standards venues and coalitions
- Bring external standards intelligence into product, security, compliance, and go-to-market decisions
- Create reusable playbooks, decision records, contribution patterns, and handoffs
