About the Role
You will lead cryptographic assessments of protocols, libraries, and application code. You will identify and validate design or implementation weaknesses, recommend practical fixes, and assess advanced cryptographic constructions. You will build tools and test harnesses, manage technical delivery, write precise reports, mentor engineers, and contribute to open-source work and research.
Requirements
- Substantial experience evaluating cryptographic primitives, protocols, and implementations
- Mathematical fluency to read academic papers and reason about security assumptions
- Proficiency in Rust, Go, C, or C++
- Experience with Git-based development workflows
- Ability to assess specifications and implementations, document evidence, and prioritize findings
- Experience independently driving complex technical work
- Clear technical writing and communication skills
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Lead cryptographic assessments of protocols, libraries, and application code
- Identify design and implementation weaknesses, validate exploitability, and recommend practical fixes
- Analyze symmetric, asymmetric, post-quantum, zero-knowledge, and multi-party computation constructions
- Build and extend cryptanalysis, implementation-review, and testing tools
- Plan work, surface risks, lead technical discussions, and produce client reports
- Contribute to assessment methodology, mentoring, research, tooling, and service development
- Contribute to open-source projects and publish or present technical work when appropriate
