About the Role
You will design, develop, optimize, and analyze reactor and fuel-cycle models using advanced simulation codes. You will communicate research results, mentor early-career staff, manage work within scope and budget, and develop funding proposals for new research efforts.
Requirements
- PhD in Nuclear Engineering or a closely related field
- 2–5 years of postgraduate experience
- Knowledge of nuclear reactor analysis research and development demonstrated through research and publications
- Experience with SCALE, VERA, MCNP, Serpent, OpenMC, or MOOSE
- Familiarity with reactor systems and concepts
- Writing and communication skills
- Ability to publish
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, optimize, and analyze reactor models

- Conduct work within scope and budget
- Communicate work through journal articles, presentations, reports, and code documentation
