About the Role
This hands-on role supports Talos' Financial Operations team with core accounting processes, reporting, close activities, treasury support, audit requests, and accounting system implementations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience
- CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
- Experience supporting financial reporting and close cycles preferred
- Experience in SaaS, software, or financial services environments preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a hands-on, proactive approach
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting or finance ERP systems, especially SAGE, highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Record invoices and support the order-to-pay cycle
- Assist in preparing financial statements in line with US GAAP
- Support treasury activities as needed
- Assist in preparing audit support and responding to auditor requests
- Support system implementations and upgrades, including accounting and finance ERPs
