About the Role
You will lead end-to-end integration design and delivery for Workday Finance, HCM, and Payroll, building and managing integrations using Studio, Orchestrations, Core Connectors, EIB, RaaS, and REST/SOAP APIs. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders across Human Capital, Finance, and IT teams including Product Management, Data Engineering, and Infrastructure/Security to ensure clean, sustainable data flow between Workday and third-party applications. You will manage data mapping, transformation, and validation across inbound and outbound integrations, oversee integration lifecycle management and production hyper care, and act as a trusted advisor on Workday integration best practices. You'll prepare for and lead activities around Workday releases, build and deploy business processes and calculated fields, support integrations with tools like Greenhouse and HireVue, and drive automation through Workday Extend applications.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday integration experience, including Studio, Orchestrations, Core Connectors, EIB, RaaS, REST, and SOAP
- Strong understanding of Workday data model and business processes across multiple Workday modules (HCM, Finance, Payroll, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, and Security)
- 4+ years of experience with complex reports, calculated fields, and business process design
- 3+ years of experience with data transformation, validation, and integration error handling
- Proficient in XML, XSLT, JSON, XSD, and integration debugging techniques
- Strong experience with API authentication, encryption, certificates (x509/PGP), and SFTP/data exchange frameworks
- Hands-on experience with Workday Extend or familiarity with developing custom apps that enhance Workday functionality
- Prior experience working in global environments with complex integration landscapes
- Workday Pro certification or experience with a certified Workday Partner preferred
- Experience with BIRT, Adaptive Planning, Strategic Sourcing, Peakon and Workday Learning preferred
Responsibilities

- Manage data mapping, transformation, and validation processes across inbound and outbound integrations ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Oversee integration lifecycle management, code migration, and production hyper care
- Serve as a trusted advisor on Workday integration best practices and design patterns, collaborating with HR, IT, and business stakeholders
- Prepare for and lead activities around Workday releases, including impact analysis, regression testing, and adoption of new integration or Extend features
- Build, test, and deploy integration business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, and data transformations to support operational workflows
- Support a limited set of non-Workday integrations such as Greenhouse and HireVue
- Drive automation through Workday Extend applications to enhance usability and streamline business activities
