About the Role

You assemble and precisely wire control panels using engineering drawings, diagrams, and verbal instructions. You prepare, label, size, terminate, mount, and loom cables and electrical components, install field devices, interpret schematics, communicate with project engineers, and maintain safety and quality standards throughout manufacturing.

Requirements

  • 0-2+ years of experience in an electronic assembly environment or as an electrician’s apprentice
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Mechanical aptitude and dexterity for hands-on assembly
  • Understanding of fundamental electronic and electrical theory
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods
  • High attention to detail
  • Willingness to collaborate and learn new techniques and processes
  • Ability to participate in a drug and alcohol program
  • Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire control panels according to engineering drawings and diagrams
  • Use hand tools, drill and tap metal components, fasten materials, and measure components
  • Read and interpret control and electrical manufacturing drawings
  • Follow safety and quality standards
  • Prepare cables for installation
  • Create labels and cable tags
  • Size cables and select appropriate ferrules and crimps
  • Lay out and mount electrical and electronic components
  • Install and terminate field devices
  • Assemble and loom cables according to internal standards
  • Communicate with project engineers and project team members
  • Maintain sufficient material levels
