About the Role
You will lead equity financing strategy and execution, develop investor relationships, and own financing narratives and materials. You will translate technical progress into investor communications, prepare and support investor meetings, build financial models, support capital allocation and corporate development, and help establish finance planning and reporting.
Requirements
- Have direct experience raising equity capital at a venture-backed startup at Series B or earlier
- Have supported or led multiple financing rounds before Series B
- Understand investor targeting, introductions, pitch narratives, financial models, diligence, data rooms, negotiation support, and closing
- Have a current investor network that can be useful immediately
- Demonstrate curiosity about robotics, space systems, defense technology, hardware, or technically difficult fields
- Absorb complex technical information and turn it into an investor narrative
- Demonstrate judgment, ownership, speed, precision, and discretion
- Be comfortable working directly with a technical founder and engineering-heavy team
- Be currently authorized to work in the United States
- Meet applicable U.S. export-control authorization requirements
Responsibilities
- Lead equity financing strategy and execution
- Build and manage a targeted investor map
- Activate an investor network
- Own the equity story, pitch narrative, and financing materials
- Translate technical progress and market opportunities into an investment narrative
- Prepare and support investor meetings and follow-ups
- Build company-level financial models
- Support capital allocation, strategic partnerships, and corporate development
- Help build finance planning, reporting, and operating discipline
