About the Role
You will architect and deliver a greenfield trading infrastructure: a hybrid onchain Central Limit Order Book and a high-performance off-chain matching engine. You will build real-time risk and margin systems, design liquidation and insurance fund mechanisms, and implement perpetuals and derivatives lifecycle logic. You will integrate manipulation-resistant oracle feeds, own smart contract and blockchain upgrades, and lead platform, mobile, DevOps, and QA efforts. You will review code, debug smart contracts, make system-level architecture decisions, and coordinate integration with external tokenization and trading systems.
Requirements
- Deep trading infrastructure and risk management experience (matching engines, margin systems, liquidation engines)
- Fluency in derivatives market structure including perpetuals, funding rates, and mark price computation
- Hands-on blockchain and DeFi experience or proven ability to ramp to Solidity PR-review fluency within 90 days
- Established professional network in risk engineering and ability to recruit senior risk talent
- 12+ years engineering experience with 5+ years in senior technical leadership
- Systems-level technical depth with ability to review PRs, debug smart contracts, and make real-time architecture calls
Responsibilities
- Architect and ship a hybrid Central Limit Order Book and off-chain matching engine with low latency
- Integrate matching engine with EVM-based onchain settlement and custody
- Build risk engine and cross-asset margin systems
- Design and implement liquidation engine, auto-deleveraging, and insurance fund architecture
- Develop perpetuals and derivatives engine including funding and leverage management
- Integrate manipulation-resistant oracle feeds and market data systems
- Own smart contract and blockchain infrastructure upgrades, security, and audit pipelines
- Lead platform and mobile engineering including embedded wallet and account abstraction
- Lead DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and performance benchmarking
- Coordinate integration with tokenization teams and external CDC systems
