About the Role
MicroVentures is seeking a Venture Capital Analyst to conduct startup investment due diligence, assess company and market attractiveness, and present findings to angel investors, venture capitalists, and high-net-worth individuals through detailed written reports.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of financing and accounting
- Familiarity with the investment due diligence process
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive with limited supervision
- Strong writing and grammar skills
- A due diligence writing sample will be requested
Responsibilities
- Read and review business plans and pitch decks
- Assess market and company attractiveness
- Conduct due diligence on new investments, including business analysis, industry theses, competitive landscape, pricing models, and data collection
- Write comprehensive research reports about investment opportunities
- Mine data sources for relevant information
- Conduct startup, market, and vertical research
- Research startup competition
- Analyze investor documents and capital raise details
- Stay current on technology industry trends
- Construct detailed summaries of startup business models
- Find accurate information from reputable sources
- Monitor the venture capital and technology startup landscape
