About the Role
You will develop and execute debt and warehouse-funding strategies, negotiate and manage facilities, and monitor the debt portfolio. You will model funding needs, support liquidity planning and Board papers, manage lender relationships, and ensure compliance with financing agreements.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of treasury experience in funding planning and management within a bank or fintech
- Financial services experience
- Knowledge of corporate debt markets
- Experience structuring and managing warehouse funding facilities
- Experience negotiating debt documentation
- Financial modelling and analytical capability
- Commercial judgement
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute corporate debt strategy
- Evaluate funding requirements and recommend debt instruments
- Source, negotiate, and execute corporate debt facilities
- Manage refinancing activities and maturity planning
- Optimize funding costs while balancing liquidity, flexibility, and risk
- Build relationships with banks, institutional lenders, and funding providers
- Own warehouse funding strategy and management
- Negotiate warehouse facilities, amendments, and renewals
- Monitor facility capacity, advance rates, utilization, borrowing-base availability, and concentration limits
- Monitor debt facilities throughout their lifecycle
- Manage debt drawdowns, repayments, utilization planning, and forward funding plans
- Model future debt requirements under business growth scenarios
- Support Board papers on funding strategy
- Manage lender due diligence processes
- Present funding recommendations to senior executives
- Ensure compliance with debt agreements and financing documentation
- Monitor covenants and develop funding-risk mitigation strategies
