About the Role
You will ensure sufficient liquidity is available in the appropriate currencies across bank accounts, liquidity providers, and offshore accounts. You will execute domestic and international fund transfers, convert fiat and stablecoins, monitor balances, and address urgent liquidity shortfalls. You will manage banking and liquidity-provider relationships, monitor counterparty and settlement risk, reconcile statements, investigate discrepancies, maintain transaction records, prepare liquidity dashboards, process refunds, support operating expense and payroll funding, and document treasury processes.
Requirements
- Have 3–5+ years of hands-on treasury or liquidity operations experience at a crypto exchange, stablecoin or fintech company, or financial institution
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Demonstrate experience moving fiat and crypto or stablecoin liquidity across multiple banks, liquidity providers, and markets
- Have direct experience initiating wire, ACH, and SWIFT payments
- Have direct experience executing spot foreign-exchange or stablecoin conversions with liquidity provider trading desks
- Be familiar with crypto custody and settlement platforms and stablecoins such as USDC and USDT
- Possess strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
- Be able to work hours aligned mainly with the US business day
- Work calmly and quickly under pressure to resolve urgent liquidity shortfalls
- Operate with financial authority and autonomy
- Advanced CA(SA), CIMA/CGMA, or CFA qualification preferred
- Experience with African payment corridors and multi-currency environments preferred
- Exposure to treasury management systems or reconciliation automation tools is preferred
- Familiarity with the regulatory environment for crypto-asset service providers is preferred
Responsibilities
- Execute offshore and local fund movements between banks and liquidity providers
- Monitor account balances daily and proactively fund accounts
- Initiate wire, ACH, and SWIFT transfers within approval limits
- Execute fiat and stablecoin conversions with liquidity providers
- Lock trading rates directly with liquidity provider trading desks when needed
- Assist with liquidity planning, projections, capital cycles, and repayments
- Serve as the day-to-day contact for liquidity providers and banking partners
- Coordinate wallet whitelisting and cleanup with liquidity providers
- Monitor counterparty exposure and settlement risk
- Escalate access, settlement, and counterparty issues promptly
- Reconcile liquidity provider and bank statements against internal records
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and balance discrepancies
- Collect and maintain monthly liquidity provider statements for month-end close
- Maintain complete and accurate records of fund movements and payment transactions
- Generate treasury dashboards covering liquidity
- Process and review customer refunds
- Support funding approvals for operating expenses and payroll liquidity
- Coordinate with Finance, Compliance, Product, and Engineering on liquidity issues, incidents, and launches
- Document treasury processes and cross-train colleagues
