About the Role
You will spend ten weeks on the trading floor enhancing systematic trading strategies and solving operational challenges. You will build automation, tools, workflows, and data pipelines; investigate production issues; and improve trading systems and processes. You will use AI-native workflows to analyze problems and develop solutions, applying your judgment to evaluate results. You will collaborate with traders, researchers, and engineers and own a project from definition through implementation with mentor guidance.
Requirements
- Work toward a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in a STEM field
- Hold junior or higher standing with a graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028
- Demonstrate proficiency with a programming language, preferably Python
- Demonstrate analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Communicate effectively and work as a team player
- Work accurately and in a structured way
- Work under pressure and multitask
- Have legal authorization to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of financial markets, market making, and trading systems
- Build tools, automated workflows, and data pipelines
- Improve systems and workflows by simplifying manual processes and reducing operational friction
- Use AI-native workflows to investigate problems, analyze information, and develop solutions
- Collaborate with traders, researchers, and engineers to deliver practical solutions
- Own a project from problem definition through implementation
