About the Role
You will own technology end to end, including architecture, roadmap, build-versus-buy decisions, reliability, and security. You will take a tested MVP to a production-grade product, build AI workflows and customer integrations, and advance retrieval, multimodal AI, and diagnostic reasoning. You will create learning, evaluation, safety, and monitoring systems; translate field feedback into product improvements; recruit and lead engineering; and contribute to strategy, culture, and investor conversations as a co-founder.
Requirements
- 3+ years of machine learning experience in production products
- Experience with LLMs, retrieval/RAG, NLP, computer vision, or model evaluation
- Experience leading the technical build of a zero-to-one product
- Hands-on software engineering experience across backend, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud
- Technical judgment regarding LLM limitations and testing
- Fluent German and English
- Master’s degree in a related quantitative field
Responsibilities
- Own the technology end to end, including architecture, roadmap, build-versus-buy decisions, reliability, and security
- Take the MVP to a production-grade product used daily by field technicians
- Build reliable AI workflows and integrations with customer systems
- Improve the machine learning core, including retrieval, multimodal input, and diagnostic reasoning
- Design and build a learning engine that captures, reviews, evaluates, and reuses confirmed outcomes
- Set up evaluation, safety, and monitoring systems
- Build UX/UI for technicians
- Gather feedback from technicians in the field and turn it into product improvements
- Recruit and lead the engineering team
- Shape strategy, culture, and investor conversations as a co-founder
