About the Role

Lead and mentor technical artists while collaborating with art and engineering teams to optimize workflows, develop tools and scripts, implement shaders and visual effects, troubleshoot visual features, guide rigging and animation, research technologies, and document pipeline processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a lead or senior Technical Artist role in the gaming industry
  • Proficiency with Maya, Blender, and 3ds Max
  • Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine
  • Strong knowledge of shader development and rendering pipelines
  • Experience with multi-platform performance optimization
  • Scripting or programming experience with Python, MEL, or C#
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Leadership experience mentoring technical artists

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor technical artists to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Collaborate with art and engineering teams to optimize workflows and resolve technical challenges
  • Design and develop tools to streamline artist workflows and support multi-platform asset creation
  • Optimize assets for texture, polygon, and memory budgets
  • Develop shaders and visual effects balancing visual quality and performance
  • Provide technical guidance on asset creation, rigging, and animation
  • Prototype and troubleshoot visual features and integrate assets with engineering support
  • Research and implement technologies to improve the art and animation pipeline
  • Document tools, workflows, and processes
