About the Role

You will support go-to-market efforts for new products by providing practical global tax guidance and assessing novel tax issues. You will own U.S. international tax calculations and filings (including GILTI, FDII, FTC, Pillar 2, BEAT) and prepare quarterly and annual international tax provisions. You will conduct tax research, develop and document defensible positions for reviews and audits, and support transfer pricing, intercompany agreements, and multi-jurisdictional compliance. You will partner with finance, accounting, treasury, legal, product, and operations to optimize tax positions, manage external advisors and budgets, build processes from the ground up, and drive continuous improvement in tax operations.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of U.S. international tax and global advisory or compliance experience
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. international tax rules and related reporting requirements
  • Experience with GILTI, FDII, FTC, Pillar 2, and BEAT concepts
  • Experience with FBAR and Forms 8865, 5471, 8858, and 1118
  • Strong analytical and tax research capabilities
  • Proven ability to operate independently and own complex workstreams
  • Exceptional communication skills for simplifying complex tax concepts for non-tax stakeholders
  • Experience managing multiple projects and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience coordinating external tax advisors and managing deliverables and budgets
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA preferred
  • Preferred: blockchain or crypto industry experience
  • Preferred: experience in startup or high-growth environments and prior tax audit or controversy experience
  • Preferred: ability to flex working hours to support global teams

Responsibilities

  • Review U.S. international tax filings including FBAR, Forms 8865, 5471, 8858, and 1118
  • Prepare quarterly and annual international tax provisions
  • Monitor U.S. and foreign tax law changes and assess business impacts
  • Conduct tax research and prepare documentation for tax reviews and audits
  • Support global transfer pricing, intercompany agreements, and compliance
  • Partner with finance, accounting, treasury, legal, product, and operations to optimize tax positions
  • Lead global tax planning, modeling, and multi-jurisdictional compliance
  • Manage external tax advisors and oversee deliverables and budgets
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in tax processes
