About the Role

You will lead tax strategy, planning, and compliance across complex multi-jurisdictional operations. You will provide tax structuring guidance for transactions, entity formations, and reorganizations, and advise on digital asset activities such as token issuance, staking, and liquidity provision. You will oversee corporate tax compliance (income, indirect, and information reporting), design and maintain internal controls and scalable tax processes, and ensure audit readiness and high-quality documentation. You will partner with Accounting on tax provision (ASC 740) and financial reporting, manage external advisors and auditors, and build and lead a high-performing tax function. You will drive cross-functional collaboration, lead complex projects from planning through execution, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on corporate tax matters.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive tax experience in a corporate tax Big Four or law firm environment
  • CPA JD or Master's in Taxation or equivalent advanced degree
  • Proven track record leading corporate tax strategy planning and compliance in a complex global organization
  • Deep expertise in U.S. federal state and international tax
  • Experience with international structuring transfer pricing and cross-border transactions
  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-tax stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Hands-on operator able to perform technical analysis while leading strategically
  • High degree of ownership judgment and attention to detail
  • Experience in or understanding of digital assets blockchain or web3-related business models and regulatory frameworks (preferred)
  • Experience working in a high-growth or scaling technology company (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead corporate tax strategy across U.S. federal state and international jurisdictions
  • Provide tax structuring guidance for investments transactions entity formations and reorganizations
  • Partner with Finance and Legal on tax implications of M&A capital markets activity and cross-border operations
  • Oversee legal entity structures including subsidiaries and holding companies
  • Lead intercompany structuring and transfer pricing considerations
  • Monitor legislative developments and adapt tax strategies accordingly
  • Evaluate and support tax positions to ensure technical defensibility
  • Provide tax guidance on digital asset activities including token issuance staking and liquidity provision
  • Oversee corporate tax compliance including income tax indirect tax and information reporting
  • Design and maintain internal controls and scalable tax processes
  • Ensure audit readiness and maintain high-quality documentation across jurisdictions
  • Partner with Accounting on tax provision (ASC 740) and financial reporting
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors auditors and legal counsel
  • Build and lead a high-performing tax function
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Finance Legal Treasury and business teams
  • Lead complex multi-threaded projects from planning through execution
  • Advise senior leadership on corporate tax matters
