About the Role
You will develop core robot runtime capabilities, including IPC, scheduling, monitoring, logging, tracing, profiling, and offline replay. You will optimize CPU performance and latency, diagnose systems issues, and build reliable infrastructure for real-time robotic software.
Requirements
- 2+ years of systems software development experience in high-performance, low-latency, or pseudo-real-time environments
- Proficiency in C++, C, or Rust
- Linux expertise including scheduling, IPC, kernel tuning, memory management, and performance tuning
- Experience with CPU performance optimization
- Systems debugging skills with perf, ftrace, eBPF, or similar tracing infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Build messaging infrastructure for high-throughput sensor data and low-latency event flow
- Develop high-throughput data logging and trigger-based capture infrastructure
- Profile bottlenecks and reduce stack latency
- Design work dispatching, prioritization, and monitoring
- Build tracing, profiling, and runtime introspection tools
- Enable replay of recorded runs for debugging, regression testing, and ML iteration
