About the Role
You will lead requirements definition, decomposition, traceability, verification planning, validation activities, technical risk management, and engineering-deliverable tracking. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, communicate with customers and suppliers, lead verification events, contribute to CDRLs, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of systems engineering experience or 11 years of systems engineering experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience with Missile Defense Agency processes, CDRL development, and formal technical reviews
- Proficiency with DOORS or equivalent requirements-management tools
- Knowledge of INCOSE SE Handbook, MIL-STD-499, and EIA-632
- Technical writing skills for briefings, documentation, CDRLs, and compliance matrices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Project
- Ability to travel 10–15%, including overnights
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance
- ITAR compliance
Responsibilities
- Lead development, decomposition, and maintenance of system, subsystem, and interface requirements
- Ensure requirements traceability and compliance
- Develop and execute system-level verification and validation plans and procedures
- Lead system-level reviews, inspections, and tests
- Conduct technical risk assessments and maintain mitigation and tracking documentation
- Coordinate requirements closure and verification status with cross-functional teams
- Serve as a technical contact for customer and supplier stakeholders
- Drive technical planning, schedule alignment, and engineering-deliverable tracking
- Contribute to CDRL development and program reporting
- Mentor junior engineers and improve systems engineering processes
