About the Role
You will monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot automated warehouse equipment to keep production systems reliable and available. You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, and automation failures; perform preventive and corrective maintenance; document work in CMMS tools; and provide technical support during disruptions while following safety requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- At least 1 year of hands-on PLC diagnostic and troubleshooting experience, preferably Allen-Bradley
- At least 1 year of VFD diagnostic experience
- At least 1 year of experience with AC and DC motors
- Hands-on experience with automated conveyor, lift, and motor-driven equipment
- Experience supporting autonomous or semi-autonomous systems, including AS/RS, robotics, servo motors, or 480V systems
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, and Linux for diagnostics and log review
- Hands-on experience assembling, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting robotics and electromechanical systems
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain automated systems, including conveyors, lifts, robotic vehicles, motors, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment
- Perform electrical, mechanical, and automation troubleshooting to resolve production-impacting issues
- Diagnose failures across PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and control hardware
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment
- Use system data, alarms, logs, and dashboards to identify faults and recurring issues
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and findings in CMMS and internal tools
- Act as a technical escalation point during system disruptions and downtime
- Partner with maintenance, operations, and technical personnel to restore system performance
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job support to technicians and operators
- Support critical on-site technical functions to maintain operational continuity
- Comply with OSHA, LOTO, electrical safety, and safety standards
