About the Role

You will complete software engineering and quality-assurance work throughout the software development lifecycle. You will develop and execute test cases, regression tests, and automated tests; document testing and release approvals; prepare test environments; and perform integration and operational testing, including flights around Melbourne. You will communicate risks early and collaborate to improve software quality.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
  • Cross-platform testing experience on Windows and Linux.
  • Proficiency in setting up and managing test environments and operating systems.
  • Ability to analyse and solve complex software engineering problems.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
  • Knowledge of fault tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test cases and regression tests.
  • Implement automated tests.
  • Verify product performance goals and project requirements.
  • Document testing activities and software-release approval matrices.
  • Complete work to agreed schedules and communicate likely delays or failures to the Director of Engineering.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and software quality assurance engineers to improve design, testing processes, and software quality.
  • Prepare test environments, including hardware setup, device flashing, software installation, and software execution.
  • Perform integration and operational testing on flights in and around Melbourne.
