About the Role
You will own data center build-out cost bases and forecasts, validate budget performance, maintain unit-cost models, and evaluate new site economics. You will translate infrastructure plans into cash forecasts and build reporting that shows committed capital, spend, and forecast completion by site.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with data center or large-scale infrastructure capital expenditure
- Working knowledge of data center cost stacks, including non-recurring costs, hardware capital expenditure, power, cooling, and operating costs
- Financial modeling skills, including site-level total cost of ownership and scenario analysis
- Experience managing budget-versus-actual for large capital projects
- Ability to work with infrastructure engineers and communicate financial results to varied audiences
- Business judgment and problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight timelines
Responsibilities
- Own cost bases and forecasts for data center build-outs
- Maintain budget-versus-actual reporting and resolve variances
- Maintain all-in unit costs of owned capacity by GPU type
- Evaluate economics for new data center opportunities
- Pressure-test hardware cost assumptions and identify savings opportunities
- Translate delivery timelines and payment milestones into cash forecasts
- Track supplier prepayments
- Build dashboards and recurring reporting for capital, spend, and completion forecasts
