About the Role
You will build and scale full-stack systems, backend services, and web applications for advisors and investors. You will design scalable architectures, translate ambiguous requirements into technical plans, write code, set technical direction, review engineering work, and communicate progress and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Have 10+ years of professional engineering experience, including staff-level and Team Lead experience.
- Build and scale web systems using React, TypeScript, Node, Go, and Python.
- Design scalable, reliable architectures at the Staff Engineer level or equivalent.
- Apply product judgment to user needs and product decisions.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with AI-assisted workflows, AI-powered features, iOS, or Android development is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and build full-stack web systems, backend services, and user-facing web applications.
- Create scalable system and technical designs and evaluate trade-offs.
- Turn ambiguous requirements into clear technical plans with engineering, product, marketing, and finance stakeholders.
- Coach and review engineers' work to improve code quality, design rigor, and delivery practices.
- Define mechanisms that apply development-cycle best practices.
- Communicate progress and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences, including customers when needed.
