About the Role

You will design, build, and operate core services for on-chain products including the tokenization engine, blockchain platform, and wallet. You will write production code, lead complex implementations, improve developer practices and AI tooling, ensure reliability and security, mentor engineers, and influence platform direction.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production
• Expertise in backend development using Go, Python, or Java
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures
• 3+ years leading large-scale technical initiatives spanning multiple teams or complex systems
• Strong system design and data modeling skills
• Ability to simplify complex problems and make sound tradeoffs
• Ownership mindset with a track record of delivering end-to-end product outcomes
• Experience mentoring and developing engineers

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and execution for Robinhood Chain, the Tokenization Engine, and the Robinhood Wallet
• Design, build, and operate the core services that power Robinhood Chain, the Tokenization Engine, and the Robinhood Wallet
• Write production code and lead complex implementations
• Improve developer practices and lead adoption of AI tooling
• Drive technical excellence across reliability, correctness, observability, and security
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through design reviews and architecture discussions
• Align platform direction with adjacent teams and company-wide initiatives
