About the Role
Design, build, and operate core services for on-chain products, write production code, lead complex implementations, improve developer practices and AI tooling, ensure reliability and security, mentor engineers, and influence platform direction.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
- Expertise in backend development using Go, Python, or Java.
- Deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures.
- 3+ years leading large-scale technical initiatives across multiple teams or complex systems.
- Strong system design and data modeling skills.
- Ability to simplify complex problems and make sound tradeoffs.
- Ownership mindset and a track record of delivering end-to-end product outcomes.
- Experience mentoring and developing engineers.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and execution for Robinhood Chain, the Tokenization Engine, and Robinhood Wallet.
- Design, build, and operate core services powering Robinhood Chain, the Tokenization Engine, and Robinhood Wallet.
- Write production code and lead complex implementations.
- Improve developer practices and lead adoption of AI tooling.
- Drive technical excellence across reliability, correctness, observability, and security.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, architecture discussions, and hands-on leadership.
- Influence platform direction by aligning with adjacent teams and company-wide initiatives.
