About the Role
You will lead the architecture and long-term evolution of the real-time voice platform. You will improve speech understanding, synthesis, conversational timing, testing, observability, debugging, and reliability while partnering across research, infrastructure, and product work and mentoring senior engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience with technical leadership
- Expertise in real-time systems, streaming pipelines, or audio applications
- Ability to define architecture and lead cross-functional projects
- Debugging skills across audio, networking, and model-driven systems
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing engineering standards
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and roadmap for the real-time voice runtime
- Lead improvements to speech understanding, synthesis quality, and conversational timing
- Define reliability, testing, and observability standards for voice interactions
- Build frameworks for debugging, measurement, and iteration
- Mentor senior engineers and expand the Voice group’s technical culture
