About the Role
You will build and scale customer-facing managed services while serving as the technical authority for edge software. You will develop lightweight agents for customer VMs, instrument Linux metrics with eBPF and procfs, package agents with Helm, evolve pull-based scraping, and lead architecture and cross-team initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, and/or Shell scripting
- Experience instrumenting low-level system metrics
- Comfort working at the procfs level
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals
- Experience packaging and deploying workloads with Helm charts
- Customer-facing on-call experience
- Experience designing for crash safety, low resource footprint, and graceful degradation
- Experience planning resilient, highly available systems and disaster recovery
- Staff-level architecture and cross-domain leadership experience
Responsibilities
- Build and scale customer-facing platform services
- Review edge agent architectures
- Provide technical guidance on inflight designs
- Build and maintain lightweight agents on customer VMs
- Instrument system metrics using eBPF and procfs
- Package and deploy agents with Helm charts
- Design and evolve pull-based metric scraping
- Partner with Control Plane, Storage, and SRE teams
- Mentor senior engineers and contribute to architecture decisions
