About the Role
You will design and manage billing systems and services for product commercialization. You will develop pricing primitives, improve infrastructure reliability and data quality, collaborate on pricing strategies, apply AI and LLMs to cost optimization, and provide technical leadership for long-term product requirements.
Requirements
- BS or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Technical leadership experience on large projects involving near-real-time data processing and distributed service infrastructure
- Track record of building, shipping, and managing reliable distributed services and data pipelines at scale
- Leadership ability across functional and organizational boundaries
- Proactive approach and commitment to high-quality solutions
Responsibilities
- Design and manage Money systems and services for product commercialization
- Develop primitives for pricing strategies, including pay-as-you-go, commissions, credits, trials, and promotions
- Improve engineering efficiency, reliability, accuracy, response times, CI/CD, test frameworks, data quality assurance, reconciliation, and anomaly detection
- Collaborate with commercialization experts to develop pricing strategies and plans
- Use AI and LLMs for cloud cost insight, prediction, and optimization
- Provide leadership for long-term product vision and requirements
- Represent Databricks at academic and industrial conferences and events
