About the Role

You will own the test strategy for next-generation device drivers and platform tools. You will design, build, execute and report component, system and acceptance tests; debug issues across hardware and software layers; guide test infrastructure; validate Linux kernels, drivers and libraries; mentor engineers; document complex concepts; and drive reliability and production quality.

Requirements

Deep experience validating Linux kernels, device drivers, or similar systems software
Strong C++ and Python test development skills
Experience with CI/CD, build tools, and automated testing practices
Ability to debug issues across hardware, firmware, drivers, and upper software layers
Ownership of technical work, priorities, and delivery in an agile engineering setting
Communication skills, including documenting and explaining complex technical concepts
Legal right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

Own the test strategy for next-generation drivers
Design, build, execute, and report component, system, and acceptance tests
Debug issues using hardware and software tools, simulators, and emulators
Guide test infrastructure and drive reliability across the stack
Validate kernel drivers, user-space libraries, and platform tools
Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards
Document and explain complex technical concepts
