About the Role
You will design, implement, test, and integrate tactical autonomy behaviors for unmanned platforms. You will lead software delivery from requirements through validation, collaborate on system interfaces, establish reusable behavior architectures, guide technical direction, mentor engineers, and support end users and integration teams.
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Production-level C++ software development proficiency
- At least 7 years of experience in software integration, behavior planning, task and resource allocation, motion planning, optimization, or flight controls
- Experience with version control, issue tracking, code review, and release-management tools
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage projects from concept to deployment
- Ability to mentor junior team members
- Ability to own a software system, including stakeholder engagement, requirements, roadmap, design, implementation, and sustainment
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop tactical autonomy software for unmanned platforms
- Implement and test behaviors for multi-agent coordination, target engagement, reconnaissance, and survivability
- Deliver software from requirements capture through validation
- Develop reusable behavior architectures and technology roadmaps
- Architect scalable autonomy software subsystems
- Integrate capabilities with vehicle platforms
- Align interface requirements with external teams and operational experts
- Represent software engineering in multi-stakeholder discussions
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers
- Travel to end-user and team locations
