About the Role
You will lead platform design and implementation for supported deployment environments. You will build infrastructure as code, deployment packages, CI infrastructure, security controls, telemetry, dashboards, and automation for installation, upgrades, rollback, backup, and recovery. You will test platform performance and reliability, resolve partner-reported deployment failures, document operations, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Seven or more years of experience building and operating production infrastructure
- Experience leading production platform design, delivery, and operation
- Deep experience with Linux, containers, Kubernetes, Docker, networking, and persistent storage
- Experience with infrastructure as code and Helm for multi-service deployments
- Experience building CI infrastructure and release workflows for deployment, upgrades, rollback, backup, and restore
- Experience with OpenTelemetry infrastructure telemetry and Grafana LGTM or equivalent
- Experience with Ansible and open-source infrastructure-as-code tools
- Strong shell scripting and Python or similar programming skills
- Strong written and spoken English and French communication skills
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code for supported environments
- Evaluate open-source platform technologies through reproducible tests and benchmarks
- Build versioned deployment packages and shared workflows
- Automate installation, configuration, upgrades, rollback, backup, and restore
- Build and run CI infrastructure and reproducible reference environments
- Build and test platform security controls and secure defaults
- Connect infrastructure telemetry to observability services and package dashboards and alerts
- Test platform reliability, performance, capacity, and resource use
- Reproduce partner-reported deployment failures and release fixes
- Maintain runbooks, sizing guides, and troubleshooting instructions
- Lead platform design, set engineering standards, review technical work, and mentor engineers
