About the Role
Lead physical and logical network deployments across data centers and edge sites. Translate network designs into implementation plans, validate and commission network clusters, automate device staging with Python and Ansible, coordinate deployment partners, and manage hardware inventory and backbone capacity.
Requirements
- 8+ years of network engineering experience focused on large-scale data center deployments and infrastructure projects
- Expertise in structured cabling, optical transceivers, and data center power and cooling requirements
- Experience configuring Arista, Juniper, and NVIDIA/Mellanox platforms in leaf-spine architectures
- Knowledge of BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and LLDP
- Proficiency in Python and Ansible
- Ability to manage complex projects across time zones and physical locations
- Ability to diagnose physical-layer and link-layer issues using OTDRs, light meters, and packet captures
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end network infrastructure deployments
- Translate high-level network designs into site-specific implementation plans
- Create cable maps and configuration templates
- Perform burn-in testing and site acceptance testing
- Automate network device staging and configuration with Python, Ansible, and ZTP
- Coordinate remote hands, cabling vendors, and data center providers
- Track global hardware assets
- Lead the turn-up of backbone capacity and edge interconnects
