About the Role
You will own mechanical operations for live, always-on facilities. You will lead responses to cooling-system failures, manage preventive maintenance and vendor work, conduct root-cause analysis, maintain procedures, analyze BMS trends, and complete commissioning-to-operations handovers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on mechanical or critical-facilities operations in data centers
- Knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, CRAC/CRAH units, air handlers, pumps, and hydronic loops
- Experience reading BMS trends, tuning alarms, and diagnosing controls faults
- Experience owning root-cause analysis and preventive-maintenance programs
- Experience as a senior mechanical escalation point on shift
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and carry on-call responsibility
- Direct-to-chip liquid-cooling, CDU, refrigerant certification, or commissioning-handover experience is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Own mechanical operations for chiller plant, CRAC/CRAH, air handler, pump, and cooling loop failures
- Execute preventive maintenance, including scheduling, vendor supervision, lockout/tagout, and quality assurance
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for mechanical incidents
- Build, maintain, and drill mechanical SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs
- Analyze BMS alarms and trends
- Complete commissioning-to-operations handovers for mechanical plant
