About the Role
You will lead regional ICT operations and manage a small team, vendors, budgets, and service delivery. You will own network, cloud, endpoint, identity, security, and infrastructure services. You will implement export-control, sovereignty, data-classification, and compliance controls; support regional programs, sites, customers, and deployed locations; and provide reliable IT services and executive support.
Requirements
- Australian citizenship and an NV1 security clearance, or demonstrated ability to obtain and maintain one.
- 10+ years of enterprise ICT experience across infrastructure, network, and systems administration.
- 3+ years directly leading technical teams.
- Enterprise networking experience, including routing, switching, SD-WAN or WAN services, firewalls, VLANs, segmentation, wireless, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and monitoring.
- Hands-on AWS and/or Azure cloud engineering and operations experience, including identity federation, network integration, infrastructure as code, and cost management.
- Windows, macOS, and Linux administration experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, group policy, IAM, Intune, and Jamf.
- Experience working in a multinational structure and reconciling global standards with local regulatory obligations.
- Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, the Defence Trade Controls Act 2012, and Australian Government classification and handling requirements.
- Experience operating in classified, need-to-know, or access-restricted environments.
- PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting and automation capability.
- Written and verbal communication skills for executives, customers, certifiers, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel domestically and regionally, participate in on-call rotation, and support after-hours maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and manage a regional ICT team.
- Set the regional ICT strategy, roadmap, operating plan, budget, and capital plan.
- Manage vendors, managed service providers, carriers, licensing agreements, and service levels.
- Establish standards for documentation, change management, incident response, and service delivery.
- Own regional network, infrastructure, cloud, identity, endpoint, and platform operations.
- Design segmented network enclaves and control site-to-site connectivity.
- Deliver connectivity and compute for remote, deployed, and flight-test locations.
- Enforce sovereign-region, data-residency, jurisdiction, and access controls.
- Drive infrastructure automation, configuration management, and cloud cost governance.
- Implement export-control, data-classification, and need-to-know technical controls.
- Maintain security, identity, logging, patching, vulnerability management, and compliance controls.
- Deliver day-to-day IT services and manage the regional IT asset lifecycle.
