You will investigate complex failures, drive corrective actions, facilitate DFMEA sessions, develop failure-rate models, and integrate reliability findings into design and manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with hardware, systems, safety, field operations, embedded software, and contract manufacturing stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience developing and validating hardware products, including compute systems and automotive sensors
  • Root cause analysis expertise
  • Knowledge of physics of failure for electronic, mechanical, and optoelectronic components
  • Ability to design and execute reliability testing for shock, vibration, and thermal conditions
  • Hardware performance data analysis
  • Experience improving reliability of mass-produced optomechanical assemblies
  • Experience managing feedback loops with external vendors
  • Familiarity with AEC-Q, ISO-16750, and automotive reliability standards
  • Experience evaluating manufacturing and assembly-process reliability
  • Knowledge of hardware-firmware interactions
  • Understanding of material science, PCBAs, BGA structural integrity, conformal coating, and humidity exposure

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hardware reliability evaluations and design test campaigns
