About the Role

You will own flight-critical power-system design from concept through production. You will design high- and low-voltage power electronics, lead verification and manufacturing deployment, and drive PCB layout, testing, validation, and design reviews. You will manage technical milestones and collaborate across engineering, supply chain, production, and test functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 6+ years of experience as a power electronics engineer
  • Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, circuit testing, and debugging
  • Experience leading multiple product design cycles involving electrical, mechanical, and software engineering
  • Track record of shipping products through development cycles
  • Experience improving hardware-development efficiency, quality, project success, and aircraft reliability

Responsibilities

  • Own flight-critical power-system design for V-BAT
  • Design high-voltage and low-voltage power electronics including inverters, DC-DC converters, and battery management systems
  • Develop low- and high-power subsystems
  • Lead design, verification, and manufacturing deployment
  • Provide mentorship and technical feedback to electrical and cross-functional engineers
  • Own hardware development from concept, modeling, analysis, schematic capture, and simulation through prototyping, testing, and validation
  • Drive PCB layout and design for power density, EMI, thermal performance, and manufacturability
  • Design systems for safety, manufacturability, and reliability
