About the Role
You will design and automate bare-metal and hybrid-cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, compute, networking, Kubernetes, observability, security, and lifecycle management. You will implement infrastructure as code, GitOps, and CI/CD workflows; develop diagnostics and health checks; lead infrastructure initiatives; and establish technical standards and architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of production infrastructure or systems experience at scale
- Linux or Ubuntu systems administration experience
- Python and Bash or shell scripting skills
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or equivalent tools
- Bare-metal provisioning and lifecycle-management experience
- Kubernetes deployment, operations, and lifecycle-management experience
- Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Networking knowledge including VLANs, DHCP, DNS, routing, and bonding
- CI/CD and Git-driven infrastructure-management experience
- REST API and automation-workflow experience
- Monitoring, logging, and observability experience
- Systems and network architecture knowledge
- Information-security knowledge
Responsibilities
- Design and automate bare-metal infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management
- Automate commissioning, operating-system installation, reprovisioning, and decommissioning
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code
- Automate compute, Kubernetes, networking, storage, monitoring, logging, and authentication services
- Develop APIs, scripts, controllers, and automation workflows
- Automate hybrid-cloud and cloud-burst provisioning
- Implement GitOps and CI/CD practices for infrastructure changes
- Build hardware validation, health-checking, and diagnostic workflows
- Develop observability for infrastructure health, capacity, failures, and configuration drift
- Design secure, scalable, reliable, and highly available systems
- Lead complex infrastructure initiatives through production deployment
- Establish infrastructure engineering standards and mentor engineers
