About the Role
You will lead manufacturing engineering for electromechanical assemblies. You will optimize processes, tooling, work instructions, quality controls, and production flows; investigate manufacturing issues; support suppliers and product transitions; and improve reliability, manufacturability, and system integration.
Requirements
- 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in electromechanical systems
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Experience with prototype manufacturing in a startup or rapid-growth environment
- Experience with actuators, motion systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical integration, and precision mechanical assemblies
- Knowledge of manufacturing process development and production scaling
- Understanding of DFM and DFA principles
- Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing engineering for electromechanical subsystems and assemblies
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, work instructions, and production flows
- Improve manufacturability, reliability, testability, and producibility with design engineering
- Drive root-cause investigations and corrective actions
- Develop quality standards and inspection methods
- Support supplier qualification, process validation, and production readiness reviews
- Lead DFM and DFA reviews and transition products into manufacturing
- Support system integration, validation, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and reliability improvements
- Define manufacturing standards, process controls, and acceptance criteria
- Mentor junior manufacturing engineers
